David Mason is the face behind Gen1 Sportsturf. He has had over 30 years experience managing turf, primarily at golf courses.

Starting his apprenticeship at The Metropolitan Golf Club on the Melbourne Sandbelt he worked his way up to Assistant Superintendent. After several years as Superintendent at Warrnambool (Country Victoria) and Riversdale Golf Club (Melbourne), he returned to Metropolitan as Superintendent for 6 years before moving to Brisbane Golf Club.

Starting Gen1 Sportsturf allowed him to pursue his long held passion for helping develop the industry from remote outback sand scrape golf courses to bowling clubs and ovals.
